LGBTQ+ Celebrities: Shinjiro Atae

Shinjiro Atae is a Japanese singer, songwriter, actor, and model. He was previously part of the Japanese pop group AAA before going solo. Other than singing, he's has had a lead role in the tv shows Psychic Detective Yakumo, Delicious Gakuin, and Teiō. Shinjiro was also featured in a dating sim visual novel game titled AAA Shinjiro Atae Love Trip.

At a fan meeting on July 26, 2023, he came out publicly as gay in front of 2,000 fans. You don’t have to be a Psychic Detective to know that took a lot of guts.
