One of the main reasons I have decided to share this is because of the anti-LGBTQ users who come into this stream and try to use Christianity to hurt us. This is a reminder that not all Christians believe the same as well as a celebration of lgbtq progress.
I was also originally raised in a United Methodist Church and previously worked for the same United Methodist Church running their social media for years, so it's good to see this level of progress happening. I have at least a few negative memories related to the church from when I was younger, especially when it came to topics about the lgbtq (and working for them was a bit stressful at times too), but I am very happy future generations may not have to suffer the way I did. :)
