Duh charged up a blast and shot it at James but at the last second, Jake jumped in and pushed James away.
James got transported by a blue light and disappeared.
Jake… got shot in the chest.
Duh: Argh, filthy mortals.
He kept on shooting Jake, Jake to block with his left arm but… it got blasted off.
He fell on his knees.
Duh charged up one final beam, and shot it at Jake. It covered all of Jake's body, burning it while Jake screamed in pain.
When the beam stopped, Jake's body was completely charred, his head was leaning backwards…
Duh: Mortals, too weak to recognise our superiority
Poseidon all tied up: *chuckles* You may have forgotten something… Mortals, no. Humans, they have something we will never have.

*He looks back at Jake*
Jake is on their knees, filled with holes, missing half the left arm and his entire body charred and burnt, his head lunged forward and looking back at the god who did this to him. He spit blood and chunks of flesh, probably pieces of his lungs and throat.
Duh: H-How are you still alive?!?
“W-What you call mortals… that's how w-we are… w-we will do ANYTHING to *tgh* survive… to protect our family… this is our *cough* human spirit…
Duh: *charges another blast* Oh shut up *he blasts Jake right in his heart, he takes a few steps back, another hole in his chest… but he's still standing*
“E-Even if… *he spits blood* EVEN IF YOU KILL ME RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW, THERE'S 8 MORE BILLION OF MY KIND OUT THERE”

*Duh starts stepping backwards, while he's looking at Jake slowly walking towards him, trembling and shaking, his body is filled with holes, charred, a dead man standing*
It may not be visible but, around Jake, a red and black stripped aura bursts out of him, bud fr wants to show him the indomitable human spirit 💀🗣️🗣️
