You fight him after Wall of Flesh, and trust me he is hard to beat. Also it's not a Destroyer fight without getting all your NPCs killed

run far away from home and spawn him!

his head has 402 damage according to the bestiary, but he is easy to cheese. use a Daedelus stormbow or a weapon that has a projectile that comes from the sky or similar, like a starfury, (which is bad for the time you fight him) or a Nimbus rod. he has no defense, so if you have a weapon that does 60 damage, it deals 60 damage, instead of 20 for example

btw the 402 damage, doesn't actually deal 402 damage, that's just like armor penetration, or something. he won't insta-kill you though, he is tough, but not the toughest mech boss.

You'd need a big ass arena. He's twice the size of Water of Worlds and twice as long, shoots lasers, summons probes when you deal enough damage to you and can kill you in almost one hit if you touch his head

The best weapons for mech bosses are the Daedalus Stormbow, Golden Shower and Yelets/Hel-Fire combined with Fire Gauntlet and Master Yoyo Bag in my honest opinion.

why did you choose to be a summoner? tbh im just a melee guy

Because it's the most fun class in my opinion, plus as a Summoner the damage the whips and minions do is insane
