Echo: *wearing a jacket and a hoodie to hide my identity, and I continue walking without noticing you*

*His eyes narrowed. He followed, though at a distance to avoid arousing suspicion.*

Echo: *I halt for a moment, and turn around, my hand in a form of a shotgun pointed directly at you* Why are you following me?

*He seemed unfazed.*

"For that reason. You're defying the law of equivalent exchange - creating matter out of nothing."

*He ran his hand across the ground, then clapped his hands. A hole was in the sidewalk, and a pistol was in his hands.*

"I intend to find out how.'

(The Law of Equivalent Exchange states that new matter can't be created from nothing, and to make something new, you have to sacrifice something of equal value - or, more specifically, equal weight. That is the defining principal of alchemy in the Fullmetal Alchemist universe. The concrete got a hole in it because Heckyl, my character, used his alchemy to make the gun he's holding. The clapping thing is something only skilled alchemists can do. See, to transmute something with alchemy; you normally need a transmutation circle, but some alchemists are so powerful that they can create a transmutation circle simply by clapping, which is what Heckyl did. He ran his hand across the ground to get the general area of concrete he would need to transmute for a fully loaded handgun)

Echo: *tilts my head* Explain yourself.

Echo: *rolls my eyes* I have four layers of Tungsten as a skin. You think that thing you're holding that will damage me?

"Fair enough."

*He dropped the gun, ran his hand against the ground again, and transmuted it into a bigger gun.*

Echo: Size doesn't make difference. What do you want, in the first place?

"Answers. How are you making things from nothing?"

Echo: I'm a robot. That's how.

"Not an explanation. Even robots have to obey Equivalent Exchange."

*He didn't notice Gryff. He started searching through the shelves, picking up books every once in a while only to put them right back.*

Info: His name is Raleigh Heckyl. He is the State Alchemist known as the Gunmetal Alchemist, so called because he is able to transmute any weapon, and he is particularly fond of transmuting guns. Both of his arms are made of automail.

Prompt 1: You see him, checking a pocket watch and walking into a library.

Prompt 2: He approaches you while you're walking down the street.

Rules: No ERP, joke OCs, joke RP, overpowered OCs, etc. No, you may not kill him. No, he may not kill you. I guess romance is okay, he's 18 and straight. If you've read/watched Fullmetal Alchemist, then make sure any alchemy you perform follows the law of Equivalent Exchange, unless you have a Philosopher's Stone. No, you may not start the RP with a Philosopher's Stone. Edward was able to do alchemy without a transmutation circle because he gained a ton of alchemy knowledge from the Truth. He is the only person who can do this. For simplicity's sake, his automatil arms have transmutation circles on them as part of the design, meaning he doesn't have to draw them to do alchemy. Unless a transmutation circle is part of your character's outfit (such as a prosthetic) or appearance (such as a brand, tattoo, or scar), they will have to draw a separate circle to perform alchemy. If your character is a soul bonded to a suit of armor like Alphonse, make that clear at some point, preferably early on. No canon characters. You don't have to be a State Alchemist (or a regular alchemist), though it will be easier for me to converse with your character if you are an alchemist, even if you're not a State Alchemist. Both of his arms are made of automatil, so you can't cut them off unless you have a weapon that can damage titanium.

Man: "If you find any books about alchemy over there, pass them to me."

"Oh, sure it's usually on top self ".

*He sighed.*

Man: "Of course."

*He searched for a ladder.*

*I walk to get the ladder *"Here ".

Man: "Thanks."

*He climbed onto the ladder and went up to the top shelf, continuing his search.*

"Yeah probably look and both ".

*He started sifting through the E's until he pulled out a book.*

Man: "Ezekiah... yes, this is it!"

*He dropped down and landed on his feet, then went to a table and began flipping through the pages.*

*I look*"Shot ".

Man: "What?"

"I glad you found it ".

*He kept flipping through.*

Man: "Wait a minute... these are all..."

"What you mean by that".

Heckyl: "I can't believe it... my mentor committed the taboo..."

Heckyl: "These are records concerning the cardinal sin of alchemy... human transmutation."

*He slammed the book shut and threw it against the wall. He slammed his hands on the table, destroying it.*

*I jumped when you did that *"The Cardinal Sin of Alchemy".

"What wrong".

Man: "These records... they shouldn't exist..."

*bit of fairy dust came off my hand *

Man: "What's that supposed to do?"

"I post to hide my fairy side ".

Man: "No, it won't. Alchemy isn't in the title. Unless I'm mistaken, it should be in the E's."
