I’m not exaggerating when I say I genuinely hate people who think like this. People who buy games with outrageous prices (sometimes multiple time) under the belief that they’re supporting the developers, when in REALITY, all they’re doing is giving the executives more money for zero reason. These people actively make everything about the games industry worse.
If you legitimately think like this, you have let these companies GUILT TRIP you into giving them money by holding their employees at gunpoint only for them to pull the trigger anyway like we can see here.
Take Two is about release this little game called GTA VI. Literally everybody and their own mother will buy this game. And they still are going to lay off employees. Game developer job security has nothing to do with people buying a game, it’s all up to the companies.
