Only because the DSM V deleted it as a separate diagnosis. It’s now considered the same as “high functioning autism”, but the developmental profiles are different: Asperger’s doesn’t impact language development until about 2 years old.
The IDC 10 still included Asperger’s as a separate diagnosis. A lot of Aspergians don’t agree with its removal. The contrary view is below:

No. If someone has accepts and celebrates their Asperger’s they don’t hate themselves at all.

Yeah. They hate autism. Which they actually have.
