I know a guy who created friendships with random people over playing Team Fortress 2 together. He met with them in real life over Spring Break.

The difference is he also has irl friends (like me) and we both go on walks and hikes together.

It’s not impossible, but irl is never beaten.

What Neon is talking about is having zero IRL friends and only bonding with strangers on a meme website. Not a game where you have a common interest.

The purpose of friends is not to improve talking skills.

And no, I’m not even saying what my friend did is smart. I still don’t think people online should be friends. Especially on a meme website.
