Because Leaving Direct Messages open may mean one of the Villains of imgflip will Spam your DMs with Alts or You'll get Scam DMs. It is Highly recommended to turn off ALL DMs, I have to turn off mine because one imgflip Villain Spammed my DMs saying "YOU SUCK AT GD" & "YOU BEAT BLOODBATH LATE" for example.
