This takes me back to my youth. Growing up when I did, hip hop culture was inescapable, and although it's still mainstream today, I remember when it was a new and 'hip' scene all kids wanted to be a part of, and, to me, this character perfectly captures the essence and attitude that permeated through all parts of the scene, whether it be rappers themselves or the youths trying to emulate them. Love the retro-style colours and the arrogance of the young girl in the cartoon. Even in a hyper-stylised cartoon as this one, the artist never disappoints with her use of making the clothing feel like clothing and not body paint. Love it.
