Just a note: the Bible debunks evolution several times, so I don't know why you believe in it. But as long as you love God, follow Him, and accept Jesus as your savior, you should be pretty good.

However, I'm a little confused on how a person may believe in both creation and evolution though, because they contradict each other.

I am in total agreement. My apologies. My comment was my agreeing with your assessment and similar confusion with the professed belief in God and in man's religion (AKA - evolution).
