Actually I'm American. I've never even left the US. This is a running joke with my friend. After history class a few days ago, I thought I heard my teacher say 'innit' (as in British slang for 'isn't it'), so I started talking in a British accent. She told me to stop. So, in a very thick Aussie accent, I said, "Would you rather me be Australian?" which resulted in her saying "Australian [my real name] isn't real" as she walked out.
