No disrespect intended, but quite a few of us here have had interactions with Caleb that show it isn't true. I believe hes just trying to save face.

Unless he still doesn't get how he's being hurtful after so much explanation from multiple people and truely believes it himself that he's not being homophobic which I would unfortunately also believe. He doesn't seem to understand most of what people tell him OR he refuses to accept any blame and see the hurt he has caused. From my interactions with him, he doesn't come across as the "think critically about my actions and I'll try to self improve" type. Unless he had insanely massive improvement on a week, in my opinion hes the "what you are doing is wrong cus my religion says so" type.

its a shame that how you see it his eyes are not open to the bigger picture("how you see it" for lack of better words)(why do i sound like a ai). from my observations(slightly biased thanks to external sources) he is echo chambering himself. this is the same with flat earthers. and people of digital communitys in general(see where im going?). we are doing this to ourselfs aswell. this makes it a good idea to take mutiple perspectives. (or in this case have another entity in your skull that reads all your thoughts along with you reading its. the other half of ones brain). this is something i loke to think im already doing

Cookie, I'm able to look at multiple perspectives. It annoyed the crap out of one of my most recent exs and was one of his least favorite things about me. When it comes to am I a glass half full or empty kind of person, my answer is "what's the context? How did the glass become like that? Is water getting pour in or dumped out/drank to make the glass the way it currently is because that's going to change my answer on if it's half full or half empty." LOL.

Incase you didn't notice, I gave multiple reasons for why caleb may have said he wasn't homophobic.

1. Saving face, protecting his image.
2. Doesn't actually belive that that he is homophobic despite being told that hes being homophobic.
3. Drastically changed his view on gay people in a week (the least likely answer).

yes miscommuniaction is happening. yes age has not a big effect here(context matters). yes you have established that you see situations from different angles. yes you gave reasons why caleb clames to not be homomisisac or homophobic.
