Yeah, Tesla has the marketing, but there have always been more affordable options. Back in the 1980s my neighbor had a Coumuta-Car. Kinda strange looking, but worked well; he said he didn't have to pay more than he would have for a gas burner.

I’d even heard of cars being converted to electric drive trains with mixed results.
I remember data’s actor was in an episode of leverage and it marketed a Honda that had been converted into electric that his character drove.
Why it’s being marketed as a luxury only for the rich astounds me.
Especially when we wouldn’t have co2 emissions from transporting oil to a refinery and then transporting the gas to stations everywhere.
SHE BOUGHT AN EV CAPABLE OF 3 PHASE CHARGING THAT CAME WITH A CAPABLE FOR 12K. SHE PAID 90K FOR A TESLA THAT CAN ONLY 2 PHASE CHARGE AND DOES NOT COME WITH A CABLE. AND NEEDS TO USE ADAPTER TO NOT HAVE TO PAY DOUBLE THE PRICE PER KWH AT A SUPER CHARGER.
