You're absolutely right. Attacking the capitol is the kind of thing a cult does and anyone with half a brain can see that. And the whole thing with "thinking for yourself" is exactly the opposite of what they do. They follow Trump's orders like a bunch of servants and suddenly start having the same opinions as him. You don't see liberals ever treating Biden like a god.

You are also correct. I certainly voted for Biden, though I am mildy conservative, because I sure as hell won't vote for a cult leader. I'd rather vote for rfk Jr at this point. Or hell, Biden! Because they are sheep, and I won't sit here and let a cult leader run my nation.

Those people (my own aunt among them) just don't understand how bad this could be for democracy. Our current system is imperfect, yes, but they don't even try to listen to the facts. A lot are Christians or Catholics like me, and they think trump to be the Messiah. Which is of course, heretical, and furthermore, he's telling them what they want to hear so they'll vote for him. What God does he worship? Not the Hebrew god, no the dollar sign. He's a heretic and a fascist. You, my friend, are well versed in the political world.

And the same news sources who you trust when they say good things during Trump's term, are all of a sudden untrustworthy when they say anything good of biden's economy. You make a circular argument which you trap people into, and then you don't actually back anything up with evidence. I'm not going to argue with you.
