And they have kept that reputation.

MSMG is a group of mostly tight-knit people. We don't like newcomers.

We were all unfunny newcomers once

Back then, cringe was accepted as most of us were newcomers. The 10k rule wasn't even in effect. I joined before the community became closer and less accepting.

And ironically, that meme was made in class, lol.

Ye but my point is we all start somewhere and improve along the way. We just have to let the new guys figure out how msmg works and they'll eventually become a good user

The problem is that now a lot of people know how to "meme" per-say. The meme culture here has evolved and is much different from fun, people's first impressions of imgflip. Back then, people could use experiences from other streams which were much more popular at the time. Most people nowadays jump straight to here.

Then stop f**king complaining about it and teach them how to not be cringe. We all were cringe at some point, and some of us still are and most of y’all don’t care. Suddenly when a user says they’ve only been here for a few months or a few weeks, suddenly it’s a f**king problem. Of course their memes are gonna be cringe, most of these people are 13-14 years old and don’t regularly keep up with current events. The good thing about it is they also are unlikely to repost from other areas unless they are more experience with meme websites, most of these people will try to come up with a joke on their own with the templates provided which usually results in the cringe memes you are talking about. I know because I’ve done it, and you have probably done it too, as well as everyone here in MSMG at some point.

Like I said, in the past we all have.

The problem is most people who are new are naturally funny if we don't boot them instantly.

Back in the day, people could use other experiences on imgflip before MSMG. We don't have that luxury now. We've become MO with a 10k limit.

I was here before MSMG. I know what it was like. People would actually f**king disperse across several streams to learn what each stream likes there. Now this is literally the first stream everyone sees because we got alt attacked several times. It’s a shame followers don’t delete for deactivated accounts.

I truly think it i our best interest to press the delete button on msmg. Arkuum it. Keep the old place for its archives. Migrate everyone to a new stream, and enjoy not being #1. Enjoy peace.
