As I recall, he was never charged with "Collusion."

May 17, 2017

Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein today announced the appointment of former Department of Justice official and FBI Director Robert S. Mueller III to serve as Special Counsel to oversee the previously-confirmed FBI investigation of Russian government efforts to influence the 2016 presidential election and related matters.

“In my capacity as acting Attorney General, I determined that it is in the public interest for me to exercise my authority and appoint a Special Counsel to assume responsibility for this matter,” said Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein. “My decision is not a finding that crimes have been committed or that any prosecution is warranted. I have made no such determination. What I have determined is that based upon the unique circumstances, the public interest requires me to place this investigation under the authority of a person who exercises a degree of independence from the normal chain of command."

Mueller did find evidence of Russian efforts to influence the election. An investigation by the US Senate ordered by Senator Mc Connell also found Russian interference. The person who said the most about "collusion," was Trump, himself. It was his "Strawman." He was not found to have committed an offense he was never suspected of or charged with. Bravo!

He is a Republican. So was Mueller, as I recall. "Thou shalt not speak ill of fellow Republicans," ---my recollection of Reagan's 11th Commandment. Feel free to attack your party as much as you wish. Allow me to hold your coat as you do so. ROFLOL!!!!

Ben Stein is the Nephew of an accomplished academic economist, whose name was also Ben Stein, if my memory is correct. Ben Stein, the actor, was an economist and, again if my memory is correct, he worked in the Nixon Administration, As I pointed out above, the investigation was never charged with finding collusion. And they made no allegations of Bestiality, which they also did not look for. They did find dozens of people breaking a number of campaign laws and other statutes.

They also found that the Russians, independent of the Republican Party or President Trump, laid the groundwork for influencing the election outcome in 2014. The International Research Agency of St Petersburg, Russia set up hundreds of Facebook and other social media accounts and built followings for political content they posted. They also hacked the private E-mails and other on-line content of Hilary Clinton and almost 60-high ranking Democrats. They made this information available to Republicans through Wikileaks and directly through third parties not associated with the Russian government.

The most politically charged, and probably most interesting, exertion of influence was the planting of Paul Manafort directly into the hierarchy of the Trump Campaign. Manafort came to the campaign as an unpaid volunteer and was given a job at the top of the leadership group. His last paid job was working for suspected Russian Spy Konstantin Kilimnik on the campaign for the Pro-Putin President of Ukraine. Kilimnik was indicted by Mueller, but he had fled to Russia where he was protected from extradition. Manafort, who allegedly liked to "live high on the hog," was convicted of financial crimes unrelated to his association with the 2016 Trump Campaign. He has somewhat quietly assumed a role with the 2024 Trump Campaign.

Is name calling necessary? Does it add to honest debate? Wouldn't your facts stand on their own. without insults? Didn't you say that I was spreading hate? I promise to respect you if you dispense with the negative labels. I promise to do the same.

The name caller removed their post. I am trying to keep up my end and focus on facts. It may not be as much fun, but it will be better for us all.
