A friend of mine from my teens, and fellow grad of 1000 Oaks High School (Me-1966 Him-1967) is comedian Michael Richards, better known as "Kramer," from Seinfeld. To Michael, everything is or can be funny. So, when a couple of Black guys heckled him in a club. He said something stupid about being able to have them lynched back in the day. This got out to the public and his career ended, He grew up among White people and had no idea that his joke would not be funny to Black people. It is a shame that he said what he said without thinking. But from the time we hung out together in Miss Rose's Drama Class to when this happened, he served in the Marines in Vietnam. You would think he would have learned something about other cultures. I have mixed feelings about this. i am one-quarter "Penobscot " (native). But I was raised among White people as a White person, so I have no racial sensitivity.
