"Under pointed questioning in the Senate (from Republicans) on Jan. 23, security officials did not say Pelosi blocked requests for backup. Irving, the former House sergeant-at-arms, testified: “It was not until the 6th that I alerted leadership that we might be making a request. And that was the end of the discussion.”
The Irving referred to in this quote from a January 28, 2021 Washington Post article is Paul Irving who was a career law enforcement officer appointed to be the House Sergeant of Arms by former Speaker John Boehner. He also said that Pelosi did not attend nor was she read in on a meeting between him, the Chief of Capitol Police and the Senate Sergeant at Arms held on Jan 4.concerning 1-6-21 security.
In spite of this information being confirmed three years ago by those responsible for 1-6-21 security, you and others tell a version of the story without any facts backing you up. I'm not saying you are lying or spreading the lies of others, but the Senate was controlled by the GOP when Ted Cruz and other Republicans interviewed the responsible parties, producing the real facts.
Can you please direct me to a source for Alexandra Pelosi making the statement you say she made?
