You can easily be disarmed if the opponent gets their sword in the hole. The lack of a proper guard means that Eggy might as well not have fingers anymore. The blade is horrendous as it can easily get stuck in an opponent which means if Eggy is fighting multiple enemies then he would be killed by person who intentionally gets the blade stuck in them.
