This is beautiful. I wish I were there. Such a simple concept as opposed to some of her fantastical cartoons or high-concept ideas, but still extremely warm and inviting. The peaceful air this drawing offers feels like a comforting hug. I can just imagine the grass moving in the breeze, and the colour and texture of the tree bark, as always, is so serene. This looks just like a cherry blossom garden or park, and the ornate detailing on the hut in the back looks just like a place I would wish to hang out. Even the kindly expression and demeanor of the character herself is very sweet and it looks as if she's going to invite me in to share maybe an herbal tea. This is a place I'd love to be. Thank you so much for sharing what has to be one of my favourite pieces so far.
