But with this craziness, the amounts of money are so extreme that the path leads straight to absurdity. $370 billion for added electric utilities upgrades?! $620 billion for charging infrastructure?! All for trucks which don't have adequate payload capacity or range?! Which will require many more trucks to carry the given cargoes, which will cause more congestion on roads and within port facilities, resulting in added construction to alleviate that congestion?! All while building so many electric trucks will be its own financial and environmental calamity?!
It's a national policy which simply has no basis in reality. And as you stated, following the money proves that.
