You sin everyday and unknowingly as well, you must repent and ask for the Holy Spirit so that you can be a more uplifted person and closer to God, the Holy Spirit is our comforter on earth, Jesus is the one that we look up to, we take him as an example of what type of person that we should strive to be.

Because if we have free will then we can do whatever we want, including sin. But Adam and Eve were not faithful to what God said and sinned. This is why we need Jesus for forgiveness

And when we sinned Adam and Eve fell from grace and now we need Jesus to be connected to our Heavenly Father. When we pray to Jesus our prayers ultimately go to God the Father, Jesus is the connector. He is the forgiveness and he is the way the truth and the life. No one gets to the Father but through him
