*Thomas Richardson frowned, looking up from his copy of Advanced Potion Making to study the smaller boy's hands and 'hm'-ed a bit before looking through his bag to see if he might have anything that could help*

Bean: yeah- I will. *he opens the bottle sort of curiously*

*The scent of the salve was pleasant, even if the color was weird. it had an odd cooling effect, kind of like menthol cough-drops, but on your hands*

*it obviously makes him feel better and he sighs*
Bean: thank you- like, a lot

*Thomas nodded, looking away awkwardly. he looked at some of the roses and ran his rough, calloused fingers over the soft petals*

*He smiles a little, carefully picks one up with the thorns taken off and holds it out to you*

*Thomas blinked in surprise, a small blush appearing on his cheeks. His heart was beating a lot quicker all of a sudden- but, why? Why was his heart thumping for a boy?*

*Bean smiles warmly*
Bean: Its a thanks from me to you.

Thomas: n-no problem . . . *Thomas took the rose, bringing it to his face and smelling it lightly. He looked at Ben, fearing the overprotective brother (lol)*

*ben just sort of smiles, he likes when his brother makes friends*

Thomas: . . . I should be going . . . Thank you for the rose . . .

Bean: Oh! Okay, you’re welcome! *he smiles*

???: *the taller one* You know Bean… you should be more careful handling the roses here.
Bean: *obviously the shorter one* I know…..

*Thomas smiled as he pulled out a salve from his bag, tapping it with his wand to make it look more 'Muggle Friendly' and less Witchy-Culty. he walked over to Bean, clearing his throat slightly*
Thomas: excuse me

Bean: *he looks at you, his blue eyes immediately recognizing you as his bullies friend* Oh- Uh- yes?

Thomas: I just noticed your hands, and, um, here *The brunette wizard handed over the bottle of healing fluid* it's a salve. for your wounds. *Thomas's face stayed stoic the entire time, his dark brown eyes making Ben and Bean feel like they were being studied like lab rats*

*ben, being the protective older brother, was eyeing you closely*
Bean: Oh! Thanks- howd you get this..? My brother talks about it sometimes

Thomas: . . . I made it *Thomas shifts his weight awkwardly, looking around as if looking for someone*

Bean: Oh that’s pretty cool! I help out around the shop and the roses aren’t too nice to me. So thank you *he smiles*

Thomas: mhm *the boy nodded, seeming unaccustomed to being thanked for things. Thomas Richardson was weird. He seemed too old for High School, definitely too mature, and seemed to drift around. People became friends with him because of his size; if you were in a fight and Thomas was your opponent, you’d most likely be sent to the hospital on life support. But for actually interacting with him, he seemed more like a big St. Bernard*

Bean: *changing the subject* So… your friends with my bullies…?

Thomas: am I? Hm. *Thomas looked at the medicine and back at Bean’s hands* are you going to put that on?

Galene: Hm.....

*as you watch the two boys, you realize the younger boy is speaking in sign language*

Galene: *thinks* Oh.....

Ben: well of course you can go say hi. Just be careful, she might not understand sign
*the small boy nods and walks over*

Galene: Hi....

Bean: *in sign* “Hello!” *then he considers that you can’t understand him and simply waves*

Galene: *she understood both because she knows sign language and signs* Nice to meet you.

Bean: *he looks excited and signs back* “It’s nice to meet you too!”

Galene: *smiles and seems excited as well*

Bean: *in sign* so your my bullies friend?

Galene: *signs* Yes. But I don't really hang out with them anymore.

Bean: *in sign* it’s okay if you are, just please don’t bully me

Galene: *signs* I don't like bullying people so I won't.

*Licorice Cookie (https://cookierunkingdom.fandom.com/wiki/Licorice_Cookie) looked at them. He knew the other four of his group bullied the small kid, but he kept to himself. Licorice looked for a certain flower that helps with mana.*

*at school one day, you see one of his bullies shove him onto the ground*

*Licorice uses his magic to pick them up and stick them to a tree.*

*bean slowly opens his eyes, tears on his face*
???: Hey! wtf I thought we were friends!

*Licorice vanishes from sight.*

*bean scrambles to his feet and runs away*

*Licorice had gone wherever.*

*he tries finding Licorice to thank them*

*Licorice was performing necromancy.*

*He just watches curiously*

*as you look around, you suddenly notice the younger boy speaking in sign language to his seemingly older brother*

*Licorice looks away because it’s rude to stare.*

Ben: Yeah, you can go say hi. Just be careful okay? You don’t know if they’ll understand you.
*bean nods and walks over to you*

*Licorice turns around and mutters a shakily hello.*

*bean begins to sign hello, but stops and just waves*

*Licorice nods. He waves back.*

Bean: *in sign* can you understand me?

*nod*

*he smiles like a happy little kid*
Bean: *in sign* Okay good! You’re my bully’s friend right? *he frowns a bit*

*Licorice nods, looking away sadly*

*His eyes widen a bit*
Bean: Woah....

“I’m a mage … I can heal…”

Bean: Thats cool....

*Licorice smiles awkwardly.*

Bean: No like, really. Thanks.

“Y-you’re welcome.”

Bean: *the bell coming into the shop dinged* oop- I better go-

“Kay. Bye.”

Bean: *in sign* Oh, that’s okay. As long as you won’t bully me

“I’ don’t do that.”

Bean: *in sign* okay, good

“I’m sorry Pomegranate and them bully you.”

Bean: It’s okay, I can understand why they would-

“No one deserves it, you know.”

Bean: Yeah…

“*sigh* are you at least okay?”

Bean: Yes, well.... except a few scars yes.

*Licorice put his hand on Bean’s, and he started healing it.*
