Yes, because the industries systems that keep the nation free from foreign conquerors, serve no purpose, eh? Whatever passes for history studies in leftist controlled educational systems . . . needs examination . . . and probably a thorough ideological cleansing for the reintroduction of reality and hard truths.

Dude, I grew up in a red state, two of my history teachers were vets, and the other two were staunch conservatives. They all agreed with me on this point and were anti-war because of the drain of taxpayer money involved.

A super power remains a super power because it can back up its plays with an unbeatable military. Take that away -- stop funding it to pour that money into feel-good projects instead -- and sooner or later said nation gets taken down and out by an opposing nation. Nations that do not pour huge funds into their military, but do have all these nice giveaway programs for the delight of their citizens depend on super powers to keep . . . them . . . free.

Bruh, the nordic world has had next to no functional military for nearly two hundred years, and yet they stayed free... So that kinda pokes a hole in all that. Also, there's the radical possibility that we could, you know, have BOTH of them instead of sidelining one to make room for the other? Haven't you ever heard of a "forever war", or the phrase "war is peace?" If you did, you would understand that war isn't for the sake of the citizenry, but instead it is meant to be for the sake of defense contractors and western imperialists. There hasn't been a mainland invasion of the US since 1812, and that alone is proof that reinvesting more funds in education and inferastructure is better than funneling millions into the pockets of rich pricks.

Good luck with that philosophy. Joseph Stalin was happy to rise to power behind equivalent . . . um . . . 'useful people' advocating for weakness and shortsightedness in the name of feel-good virtue-signaling. History is replete with tyrants who came to power on the backs of the adherents that pushed such philosophies.

Yeah, because having a de jure autocrat stand between you and a healthy life is totally the better alternative, right?

Nah... less government is best... I see you know nothing of social medicine waiting lines... and how they play God with their allocation of medical resources...

"Play god with allocation of medical resources" mmm, yes, because your beta blocker and ED meds were picked straight from the trees of the garden of eden -_-

Yes... I already said your comments indicated you didn't know anything about socialized medicine.

I'd say you're the one that doesn't know anything about socialized medicine, because you're quoting the same generic propagandist shit that every anti-social rightwinger says. "MUH WAIT TIMES THOUGH" Even though a working class citizen spending $30,000 on meds is fine... Blatant hypocrisy.

Sure... that's why people who have the money, from socialized medicine countries, come to the US to skip their waiting lines...

That is only for the upfront cost of surgery, not the hospital bills. The opposite happens far more often. The US medical system is a racket, and letting big pharma be capitalist does more harm than good.

true... big pharma has too much power... people from it are embedded in government organizations... it's one big happy incest family... that needs to get fixed, and I highly doubt the career politicians in DC are the answer to fix it.
0 ups, 1mo,

Honestly, the only way to fix it is to nationalize medicine and abolish drug scheduling. That way, the industry can be undercut by independent suppliers and big pharma will slowly wither away and die. Informed consent is a good first step to combatting big pharma oppression and actually getting help.

Honestly... it's not

If you were serious, you'd be pushing for the same medical coverage Congress enjoys... for everyone...

Cherrypicking fallacy. Of course you choose a blatantly right wing news site to support your point. and not even an english one either.
