Road to Mastery (2)

Hello there, this is the second episode of the Road To Mastery series I've made. This happens right after the final battle of the two giant lizards.

The intense battle that had occurred between the Devourer and the Deceiver had repercussions.
Most were happy it was over… others had lost too much to be the same.

While everything was being rebuilt, James(Traveler) was helping out. His unique teleportation ability helped reconstruct some cities, he may have also ended on the news.

He just recently met Christine, his future wife, but he doesn't know it yet so shhh.

James felt guilt, sadness, regret, anger…
All because he couldn't help when needed, was he weak? Was he afraid? Or was he held back by someone or something?
Whatever it was, he had to move on.

James went to Collector in the Realm Of Creation and when they met, they were truly happy to see each other alive.

Collector: Long time no see *he put his hand on James' shoulder*

James: Yeah heh

Collector: So what do you need?

James grabbed Collector's arm and took it off his shoulder

James: I need to visit the Library.

Collector: Urh sure, but why? *He said walking to a bookshelf*

James: I have to… “study” something

Collector: Mmmh? Well, whatever you need, it's behind this bookshelf. I made a portal behind here to the Library.
*He grabbed a green book and the bookshelf opened*

James: Woah, thanks I guess

Collector grabbed James

Collector:James, in there time won't function like normal. I managed to control it but it might still be unstable. One hour for me will be a year for you.

Traveler: Thanks for the advice! *He walked into the Library, and the bookshelf closed again*

Collector: He didn't even let me finish
-Inside the Library of Alexandria-
James: Let's start searching. So… where should I search? *He looks around* *he sees the “Demigod” section*
James: Probably there!

He ran to the section, he searched it, but only found some myths about a “Divine Champion”, which was a demigod who had evolved past their limiting human form.

He was interested in it, but didn't find any more info.
He searched and found another section: “Transformations”

He ran to it, but didn't find much else than what he already knew. He only learnt that “there existed a transformation only demigods could achieve”. But the rest of the page was burnt.

He searched and searched, he searched through the “Sacred Powers”, the “Divine Powers” and the “Gods” section; but found nothing. He spent 2 years searching.

He found a section, the Prohibited Section. And what did James do? Naturally go inside.

He spent 2 years trying to get it and find what he was searching for.

By now he knew about a “Divine Transformation which only Demigods could achieve” but not much else.

Even the entire section was dangerous, filled with creatures. This certainly was some sort of training too.

He spent another year studying once he had found a book named “The Divine Warrior”.
He knew all he had to know.

He got out of the section and started training to reach this “Divine Warrior”. He wasn't certain how this Transformation was named, but he liked to call it “Divine Mode”, which isn't the best of names.

He spent 15 years training, 2 years of hard work followed by a year of rest. His training schedule is uncertain. Not even I know what he did.

Collector in the meantime was kind of worried. For him 20 hours had passed, which means 20 years for James.

And finally, James got out.

Collector walked up to him and said: “Are you fine? You spent 20 YEARS in there”

James had a gray aura around him.

James: I spent all my training developing and perfecting my Awakening Technique. Now I can reach Awakening x6!

The aura around James disappeared.

Collector: You're mad, insane. 20 years… *he walked away* I can't imagine being alone for 20 years…

James walked to Collector and said: “Well, I learnt that there's something even stronger than my technique, I call it “Divine Mode”. Cool right?

Collector: Did you achieve this… “Divine Mode”?
*James crosses his arms*
James: Nope.

Collector: Cool, I do kind of feel your energy has greatly increased. Are you sure you feel okay?

Traveler: Yeah! I'll go home

Traveler walked away, Collector stared at him thinking “Whatever you've done in there, it has certainly changed you…”
