No visible explosive flames on the left and right where the structure is severed to suggest detonation charges...disperse!

I have worked on suspension bridges in refineries but nothing of this size. Those 2 "explosions" are actually the power wire that runs the airplane clearance lights snapping and arcing out on the bridge. You can even see the red light go out then flash back on for a split second as it falls and is completely severed!

Possibly...can you explain how and why the structural steel appears to sever in sections on the left and right, coincidentally where the explosions occurred?



I myself have work experience with iron for over 20 years...no structural steel is gonna conveniently snap in sections like that after column struck. I'm no structural engineer...but I'm not buying this collapse within seconds after struck at single column...NFW!

The wires arced on the joints that severed! Once the center pylon was taken out. All the weight shifted to the outer pylons. Which that amount of a force shock load no rivets and welds would hold that force. We had a building with 28 anchor cage supports that came down. Engineering said that 3 cages failed, the rest were brought down by the shock load. and that bridge is 1000 times heavier over a larger span with less support!

You present a fair and reasonable perspective on the arc and severed cables. The only reason I would not buy it upon first glance is no visible blue tint, sparks or flash to indicate electrical severed cable or box. Unfortunately I'm still having trouble with the time span collapse and the convenience of the severed sectionals of structural.



But, I guess for me...the nature of this so called incident is FAR too convenient, given our global economical and geopolitical situation in the west.

To be honest, probably! The ship lost power a number of times before hitting the bridge. No steering no propulsion. That ship has a lengthy list of needed repairs and fines for not being seaworthy!

A jet ski is direct drive. I can not speak on this exact ship. However a vast majority of these ships are piloted by GPS and Auto Pilot...no physical connection to the steering! Steer by wire! If the power went out the GPS would pick back up with the last input and when it came back on would try to correct itself.

Well consodering you have no clue of how a port operates....i will leave you with this one piece of logic to wrestle with......if the autopilot were to kick in....but there is no engine to generate the thrust...how would it steer? It doesnt. Therefore the captian ordered to drop the anchor to attempt to stop....have fun out there.

When a container ship is running under low idle load (like when leaving port or maneuvering through a channel or under a bridge) they run their electrical systems off a generator not the alternator on the diesel! So just because they lost power does not mean they lost propulsion!

You never heard of a back up generator? When the engine is running at low idle it doesn't have enough rpm to power the ship off the alternator! So they turn off the charging system from the propulsion system and turn on a back up generator to run the ships navigation and lights!

You are using ideal situations. Obviously what you are explaining COULD NOT BE PERFORMED. You should have been there so you could have fixed the power plant....

No one could have diagnosed and fixed the issue in that short of time. I am not using Ideal anything! I am saying that is the way large container ships work! You have the internet do a basic google search!
