It hit a tree, I'm pretty sure

I get how a car could swerve off the road and hit a tree, but like, a train…?

Listen. A few weeks ago, I rode the coast starlight and we hit a boxcar door outside of Seattle. Normal Coast Starlight activities. It's very easy on that route for a tree to fall on the tracks and the train would hit it. (Luckily we did not derail we just got a f**king 4 hour delay in Portland, Oregon)

Makes sense
