Choping of your Hand does kill you. The reason why you dont chop of your Hand when you try to kill yourself is that choping of youre Hand is more painful
From what I've heard, it's smth about how the veins work when slitting your wrist. Also, you can survive without a hand, you just need to get medical attention quick enough to get a torniquet or smth.
