So over the weekend my mama, my brother and I went to a charity breakfast thing. The charity was for the military but the event was hosted by the church in that area. I didn't realize a church was hosting the event, so I showed up wearing some pride pins that I wear a lot, one with a lesbian flag and the other with just the standard pride flag. I walk up, grab my breakfast, and as I go to sit down, an old lady helping to serve the food was telling me to take off the pins. When I asked her why she told me off, saying it was sin and evil and shit. I got a little pissed off, so I told her "Look, I'm not calling you out for what you believe, quit making a scene over what I believe." That only escalated it, now this old lady was calling me bad names and telling me to leave. I tried to just walk away from it, and that helped because she was still doing her job, but once everyone was served she came over to me and kept telling me to leave. I did eventually, because I finished my food not because she told me to leave, but I just find it funny in retrospect.
