Aw man, this is cracking! I've never been one for punk, but the energy in this drawing is just contagious. Makes me want to get up and bust a move myself! The bold colours really pop off the page and the stylisation of the cartoon music coming out of the stereo really conveys an energy of listening to something fun and upbeat. The same energy wouldn't feel out-of-place at a larger-scale dance party or even a club, but the fact that this appears to just be a girl in her room is even more of a bold choice. This character, much like her creator, seemingly doesn't give a jot what people think of her spunk and her energy, and she expresses this in all possible ways, from her fashion sense to her tongue-in-cheek expression and her musical choices. Even the sock on the floor is a nice touch because even it adds to the sense of just a carefree young girl enjoying herself and putting herself first.
