I don't know, I just looked up looked up Sri Lanka because I wasn't aware it was happening again either, but from what I see, that was from near two decades ago. And not to say it was ok for them to get killed, but the Tamil Tigers started that civil war. They also committed atrocities against the Sinhalese majority in their effort to break away a thin sliver of land.

In that area the world, Rohingyas are being killed and brutalized in Myanmar, by Buddhists, no less. That doesn't get much news coverage.

1. No, that war has been over for decades. And it was because the Tamils in Sri Lanka wanted to split off into their own country - or so they said. It was really trouble fomented by Tamil Nadu in India who wanted to expand their own territory.
