Aw. Such a quaint and charming setting. It is rare that this artist veers into such a domestic and familiar aesthetic, but she has proven herself to be a Jill of all trades with this one (as well as the rest of her catalogue). The demure personality of her character is on full display, from her stance and bearing to the sweet look on her face. She is so put-together in her dressing as well. The wood floor is expertly done. One thing this artist seems to quite enjoy is drawing wood and wooden textures, as seen every time she draws wooden floors and even trees and logs. The plant basket is finely detailed, especially for a cartoon, and the colour blocking of the furniture is striking enough to have visual appeal without being shocking or out-of-place in this sort of warm, inviting setting. I love it.
