Survival tips: quicksand edition; 1. Remember - do not panic. You cannot sink below unless youre moving too quickly or you're weighed down. The human body is less dense than quicksand.
2. Take everything heavy off of you. If it's possible to get out of your shoes, d so as well.
3. Try to walk backwards before the quicksand hardens. It usually takes about a minute to harden.
4. Sit down and lay back. Your feet should begin to float. When they start to come free, start rolling to the side.
