Wanted to make memes for my friends. So I found it.

How I found out about Imgflip is when I was in 7th grade my History teacher did this thing every unit that he held which was a meme competition. It was whoever could make the best meme got extra credit. He said that Imgflip was a really good site to make memes. So I went there and that started my Imgflip career.

i was getting bored of a basic meme making site around like 2017ish, as it could only do classic impact-font top-text bottom-text memes, and by that time the "white rectangle with text in them on top" format was gradually replacing the old memes, so i looked for a new meme making site, and after some googling i found img (only made an account in like 2022 though)

That site you're referring to is memegenerator.net, right?

that said, it looks very different but i haven't touched it in years so it's obvious it would have gone through some updates since then
