dragonite, nidoking and nidoqueen, magnezone, porygon-z (maybe the mega stone can be a chip that stops the bugs of porygon-z and turns it into porygon-3) flygon, goodra (especially the fact that it's the pseudo-legendary of the kalos region) and finally, hydreigon.

Yeah... The starters didn't get the gimmick in the debut of regional gimmicks, but in later gens they did? WHY?

I'd have to say Clefable since Gengar, which is according to theory a shadow of a Clefable or the ghost of a Clefable, got a mega form. Plus, the Cleffa line doesn't get much attention nowadays especially since Clefairy never got the title of mascot as it originally was going to. Plus, it always needed more attack.
Oh and Haxorus bc just axe dragon isn't enough for my own enjoyment.

- and probably even the rest of the starters prior to gen 6 that didn't get a mega could get megas, they probably wouldn't do that though.

And also a Mega Butterfree would be really cool and balance the duo's power
