They have to make an example of Julian...to deter anyone considering to be a whistleblower in the future... especially if it means ripping up the US Constitution... Freedom of the press is just one big joke... You are only entitled to the rights they say you can have.

So true. And the folks who cry rivers over the CIA's Alexei Navalny (the convicted conman, and traitor to Russia) - don't give an F about Julian, or even acknowledge that Gonzalo Lira ever lived or was murdered in Ukraine.

I'm guessing you probably know Jeff Childers - if not, he's your guy, go ahead and subscribe... But also here's a lefty friend of mine, with whom, you will no doubt find yourself uncomfortably in agreement, an awful lot of the time... So check out Caitlin Johnstone, and give her a fair hearing, particularly on this post... But I'd suggest you subscribe to her, just like I do with Jeff Childers... It isn't because I'm ALWAYS going to agree with him... But rather, because even when I disagree, I want to give a fair hearing to his arguments, and where I feel compelled to do so, I try to leave him a well reasoned counter-point... Though frequently I just upvote his post for the parts I like, and respect his perspective on the parts that I don't... So anyways, I leave you those notes not just to highlight my brilliant responses - but to lead you to the things I was responding towards.

And notice that they want to give Julian 175 years, or death in custody, while awaiting extradition or trial... While the former Bradley Manning (now "Chelsea") is already walking around free, after being granted clemency, for the actual commission of the crimes, for which Julian is unconscionably accused.

Let's not forget Bergdahl...
