I've always never cared too much about it, I usually will only get involved during election seasons bc I do appreciate freedom and so I don't want communism to take over America since I hate dictatorships and I don't want to move out from my parents only to run into a government dictatorship, but beyond that idrc much about it
but basically everyone makes a bog deal out of things that should have no bearing on reality (like race) and rile up division over it (while claiming they're helping them)
and basically everyone blindly trusts their favorite news sources and has the audacity to call the other side out for doing the exact same thing they do, and we live in a world where the media is so utterly dishonest and is clearly paid off by people running politics, it's nearly impossible to have zero bias. nothing is trustworthy unless you investigate stuff yourself, but I imagine if you get too deep into some of the corruption going on in politics, those people probably would have you killed for knowing too much
