Freedom of speech

This is Bill and Jill. Bill attacks her. Now Bill goes to jail. Bill attacking Jill is not a consequence of Jill's actions. It's a result of Bills poor emotion and impulse control. Bill going to jail when he should have ignored Jill is a consequence only of Bills actions. That's what freedom of speech means. You have the freedom to not suffer the violence of others, the government, or corporations if you displease them with your opinions. Jill was hollering offensive crazy shit on the side of the road but otherwise not bothering anyone or breaking any laws.
