Kaen walks over and looks at you strangely

"What are you doing?"

Tom: ? *Looks over, the tree trunk is dented in from what seems to be months of constant impact hitting it. His knuckles were raw and bleeding* Training

"Your knuckles are hurt."

Tom: *Looks at them* Eh, it don't hurt that bad *Took out a roll of sports bandage from his hoodie pocket and wrapped it around his knuckles, hand, and wrist*

"What are you training for?"

Tom: *Shrugs* Just, anything in general

"Preparedness. I like that. What's your name?"

Tom: Tom. Tom Storyridge, and you?

"Kaen. Kaen Moeru."

Tom: Well, nice to meet you, Kaen

"Pleasure."

Tom: What brings you to these parts of the woods?

"Just exploring."

Tom: Huh, ok

"You gonna be okay?"

Tom: Yeah, I'll be fine

"That's good.."

Raymond: Don't do that! you can hurt your hands!!

Tom: ! *Stopped and turned to Raymond, his knuckles raw and bleeding from constantly punching a tree*

Raymond: oh goodness! are you okay!?

Tom: Yeah, I'm fine, I've dealt with worse *Wraps his knuckles with sports tape*

Raymond: you sure?

Tom: Yeah *Shrugged*

Raymond: Well... why were you punching that tree?

Tom: Trying to build up my strength and endurance

Raymnd: With.. a tree?

Tom: Well...Yeah?

Raymond: maybe a punching bag would be better?

Tom: Nah, those only last about...maybe 50 of my punches?

*Raymond's jaw drops*

Tom: ...What?

Raymond: Damn your strong!

Tom: Uh- Thank you-!

Raymond: Oh, your welcome!

Tom: eheh-

Raymond: But still! you should hurt yourself just to get stronger!

X: *eating a glass mug*

*Some elf girl comes out from behind another tree*
"Yeah, kill the trees, that's just what the world needs." *She had an English accent and she was about 5'2*

Tom: *Seemed to jump a bit and turned to her* Uh- *Stepped back from the tree he was punching, his knuckles ere raw and bleeding from the constant punching*

*Era sighs and smacks the back of Tom's head* "You're also not helping yourself either." *She gestures to his bleeding knuckles*

Tom: *Flinched at the sudden smack and rubbed the back of his head* Ow- Also, its not that bad, I've dealt with worse injuries *Pulled out a roll of sports tape and gauze, cleaned up his knuckles and wrapped them up with the sports tape*

*She sighed again and shook her head.* "Idiots everywhere. Who are you?"

Tom: I'm Tom *An anime red bulge appeared on his head* Who're you?

"Eradiya Floods. Call me Era." *Something moved out the corner of Tom's eye. When he looked there was nothing there but shadows.*

"Don't mind them, they won't hurt you unless I want them to."

Tom: Hm...Alright...*Looks at her* Look, sorry for intruding, I'll get going now and stop disturbing you- *Turned around to walk away*

*She shrugged.* "You're not bothering me. Just haven't seen anyone else on this island for years."

Tom: Wait, really?

*She nods* "Yeah, just me and my friends live here, ever since.." *She trails off, then clears her throat*

"Yeah."

Tom: ? *Tilted his head to the side*

*Era looked at him again and noticed his confusion* "Oh, nothing really. Just spent my whole life in a lab where they made me able to control shadows and talk to dead people, then destroyed it and accidentally killed all the other kids there except for my friend and her little sister, then got taken to another lab, destroyed that one as well and my aunt Tessa was killed in the process, found out Death is quite literally my father, Life is my aunt, and then me and some other friends decided to live here. No biggie." *She shrugged like it was the most normal thing in the world*

Tom: Eesh- And I thought I had a rough past...Even though they are quite similar...

"Ooh, tell me. I'd like to hear someone venting about something other than not having enough hoodies for once."

*She saw him look confused again*

"Don't ask. Go ahead."

Tom: Well...*Inhale* I was two years old during a war against humans and supers, me and my brother being supers because we weren't considered "human." So naturally the only solution was to lock us in camps and eventually kill us to make man the dominant species. One thing led to another and when I was about 6 or 7 I was captured by humans and taken to lab to have other ways other than death to "get rid of superpowers." That didn't work out and I managed to break out. I was then taken in by a resistance at the age of ten, and trained into a weapon. After years, I finally found my brother again and ran away from the resistance that found me. After more and more years of violence and hardship, the war finally ended and my brother and I finally got to settle down. And...yeah, here I am now

*She had sat down cross-legged while he talked, so she looked up at him*

"..Supers? A war between humans and supers? Sooo..since I'm not technically human, does that make me a super?"

Tom: Yep. Anyone with inexplainable abilities was considered a super...

*Era kept staring up at him. She held her hand up and a silhouette of a person formed out of the shadows behind her. It walked up to her and shifted into a cat. Era pointed at a sunny spot, and the cat ran towards it and disappeared as soon as it touched the sunlight. Era looked back to Tom*

"Ta daaa. It does the same thing to me as well if I stand in it too long."

Tom: Whoa...

*Era stand up, walks over to the darkest space between trees, then just falls backward and disappears into the ground*

Tom: -!

*Something taps his shoulder, and when he turns around Era is standing right behind him.*

"Boo."

Tom: *Jumped a bit*

*She snickers* "I can also teleport through shadows."

Tom: wow...

*She shrugs* "Well, what can you do?"

Tom: *Shrugs* My powers aren't as intricate as yours, I just got electricity control, super speed, and heightened reflexes

"Huh. If you don't mind, would you show me? I have noting better to do."

Tom: Yeah, sure *Took off in a cyan blur and came back seconds later with food and sodas* Super speed *Electricity flowed around him* And electricity

*Her hair flew around her face and she seemed impressed* "Hm, that's new. Never seen that before."

Tom: *Shrugs* Thanks *The electricity disappated*
