He would prefer that we find means of transportation that do not use gasoline and otherwise cut down on our dependence on oil products. But Russia drove up the price of oil and gas causing inflation to rise in ways that hurt Americans. He put his preferences aside and created the circumstances that would negate the effects of another Russian oil embargo on us and others. He hasn't bragged about working Putin into a corner. Why? He is a leader. Leaders take action. Losers talk tough.
