True. However, I’d definitely recommend trying to find ppl willing to argue in good faith, cause posting stuff like this in any politics stream here will inevitably have people with no interest in developing their views go through mental gymnastics just to deny what you say while not really disproving anything. From my personal experience, trying to argue with someone acting in bad faith will only have them be entrenched in their views even more. However, I’m glad to see ppl like you at least try to convince people to support Palestine, and I wish you good luck in doing so.

Well Hamas did murder over 1500 Israelis, while the Israelis have been obeying the laws of war the whole time soooo.

This is honestly such a ghoulish thing to say when “Israel”’s entire military strategy is to literally commit war crimes and destroy as much civilian infrastructure as possible (Look up “Dahiya doctrine” for more info). And with shit like the IOF using literal white phosphorous on Palestinians (an internationally banned weapon, mind you), of course Hamas is going to try to fight back.

There’s also the fact that the IOF was caught shooting two innocent Palestinian children on camera (https://youtu.be/CaibEqx2m_k). Now that’s not very legal, is it? And before you try to respond with the fact that he eventually got convicted only after the IOF couldn’t hide it anymore, 9 months in a comfy jail cell for ending the lives of two innocent Palestinian teens whom have their whole life ahead of them is an absolute joke of a sentence.

Not to mention a volunteer nurse was shot and killed in Gaza by the IOF, before they tried to portray it as Hamas doing their usual Hamas things and using them as a human shield by editing footage (https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/middle-east/gaza-protests-latest-idf-condemned-edited-video-angel-of-mercy-medic-razan-al-najjar-a8389611.html). The whole “Hamas using human shields” thing is a blatant lie in general, by the way. Both this case and the previous case I mentioned shows that even in the extremely rare case where the IOF’s “internal investigation” routine for whether it committed any war crimes actually leads to a trial, and in the infinitesimally rarer cases it actually finds a soldier to be guilty, the “punishments” would be hilarious if it wasn’t in the context of innocent civilians being murdered.

The most shining example of this case is when the commander found to be responsible for the Kufr Qassim massacre where 49 Palestinians were murdered in cold blood was fined 10 measly pennies for giving the order to open fire on civilians (https://www.haaretz.com/israel-news/2016-10-28/ty-article-magazine/.premium/kafr-qasem-doesnt-want-an-apology/0000017f-e0).

This does beg the question: If this is what managed to be captured, then what unspeakable atrocities that the IOF will forever remain hidden from the public eye?
