Yes, it doesn’t automatically make the IOF defective if there’s a case of friendly fire. In fact, one could say that it is quite good in doing what it was made to do (i.e. terrorize the shit out of the Palestinian people). However, what I was saying is that the IOF is incompetent in trying to not also kill their own fellow combatants due to the fact that their strategy is to kill as many Palestinians (both civilians and combatants) as possible, therefore meaning that they have little restraint.
Don’t take my word for it, however. Take the IOF’s own words about how they follow the Dahiya doctrine (which is basically a military strategy in which they flat out destroy as much civilian infrastructure as possible).
To directly quote the previous Chief of Staff of the IOF, Gadi Eisenkot, on the subject matter of its ongoing genocide in Gaza:
“We will apply disproportionate force on it (village) and cause great damage i destruction there. From our standpoint, these are not civilian villages, they are military bases.”
