It is indeed. He discusses his initial objections to why the Bible can't be true and how all his objections were systematically destroyed. He also talks about the enormous costs that many followers of Islam must pay to convert. Loss of family, friends, up to and including the loss of life for some. It is a terrible price being risked by a follower of Islam to convert to Christianity, but Mr. Qureshi adamantly proclaims that though the cost was great for him. Knowing the truth was greater. We must seek to reach each lost soul as all of us are as deserving of God's mercy. Certainly as deserving as I am.

For Nabeel? The only son of Muslim family of missionary background. Shame on his family. Once his parents had exhausted all avenues of "fixing" Nabeel's religious and psychological "issues" and he still refused to recant, he watched his father, a pillar of strength, break down in tears. He watched his mother, formerly a beacon of light, joy and hospitality; "It was like I reached inside her soul and turned off a light." Honor was big in his household as in many households that follow Islam. His family lost a great deal of honor with his choice. His family cut off all contact with him after that.

HYPOTHETICAL:
Let's say your whole family was devoutly practicing Christians. Would you outright accept it if your older sister who was formerly a bible believer, suddenly decided to defy Jesus and start practicing witchcraft with some friends she met?
Would you initially treat her like a member of the family, as if her beliefs should be tolerated?

Then, perhaps you pray about it and try and try to reach out to her to come back to Christ like the prodigal did....but she became more and more obstinate against the gospel, and even began sharing some secrets of the Craft with your younger sister and brother.

Would you permit her to stay fully engaged in communication with your family or choose to limit interaction with her until she forsook her ungodly ways?

Think hard about how you answer this, because this is precisely how Nabeel's family felt about his conversion to Christianity.

Totally agree. Nabeel also shared how many others within Islam have practiced "honor killing" when someone renounces their Islamic beliefs. Few if any in Christianity would promote that idea. Thankfully, in Nabeel's family, he didn't experience this.

True, but his death at such a healthy, young age is tragic, to say the least. I see he had medical treatment for almost a year and all it got was worse.

I imagine the cancer may have gotten better on its own:
Mar 5:24-26 NLT - Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him. A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better. In fact, she had gotten worse.

Either way, Christianity doesnt promote honor killings, per se, but capital punishment is supported by many Christians for similar purposes, as well as having biblical support, primarily in the OT.
Additionally, God's first command given to the human race had capital punishment attached to it as a consequence: "Do this and you shall die."

Clearly, Christianity and Islam do not follow the same God. There are similarities. Islam recognizes Abraham and many of the prophets in the Old Testament. They, however, claim that Allah is neither a Father nor a Son. Any who claim that Jesus is God go to stay with the devil in the next life. We, obviously, can't get to heaven in any other way than upon the truth claims of Jesus and through Him. The many other profound differences negate any option that Islam or any other religion or "spiritual" belief system could be linked with Christianity. Nabeel outlines how the beliefs he was raised with don't stack up against the truth he found in following Jesus.

I loved loved LOVED his book. It showed me a lot of insight into the Muslim faith and was just so interesting in general. I believe my favorite part of the book was when he explained how the things he was learning in cellular biology, I think, helped the concept of the Trinity click for him. That was a way of looking at it I hadn't known before, and kind of helped me better understand too. Just absolutely fascinating. Anyone else reading this who hasn't read the book yet, go and do that.

Powerful testimony by a man who found the Truth, and then followed Him. Worth an hour of your life.
