One could argue that the basis of our education system was broken from the start, and that it could not get worse

I once toured school replicating an early 20th century rural school. I picked up an elementary primet. It read like a modern high school text. I was blown away. It has grown worse since it's inception, and will continue to grow worse for as long as liberals remain in power. imho

The only thing we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history

With all due respect to the history. I was a public school teacher of "at risk" students for a quarter of of a century. I watched it go to hell, mostly, I think, do to teaching students that they don't really have to follow the rules, and them realizing that there wasn't a damn thing teachers had the power to do anything about it. There is a clear and present policy failure that has to be corrected independent of any history to date.
