As Corbin stabbed Dynamo’s face, the red man’s vision became hollow and lost all existence in its view. Insane and extreme, Corbin kept skewering the head in the same hole, until Dynamo completely stopped moving. Corbin felt a sense of satisfaction and excitement after pulling the sword out of the Observian’s holed, cold head. He took one more look at the body. Dynamo is dead. Dynamo is actually dead. He began to cackle as he knew that he won the battle..The crows joined in the laugh.

“One down. Two to go.”, he said after he stopped.

He then turned around just to find the two remaining victims for his hunt. Setuh and Byrd stood there in the distance, horrified by the frozen corpse of Dynamo. They didn’t want to believe that their lord was killed, but the proof was over there already. A couple of tears streamed down their face at the sight of him. They glanced at Corbin, who then looked at them back.

“H-how could you?”, Setuh cried as she fell onto her knees and bursted into more tears.
“Hehehe… “How could I?”. You’ve got to be joking right now. You tried to escape from an incarnation of darkness, and that went terrible! Look at me, I killed your good-for-nothing leader for gods sake!”, Corbin shouted.
He then said, “And now, you’re next!”.

“Setuh! We’re gonna have to kill this bastard!”, angrily told Byrd, wiping the tears from his face.
“R-right!”, she replied, doing the same.

“Not going to run anymore?”, questioned Corbin.
“No. Not this time…”, Setuh affirmed, slowly beginning to have an expression of vengeance.
“Not after what you’ve done!”, she further yelled.
“Then, you shall meet the same fate as HIM!”, Corbin threatened with malice.

Gradually, the killer dashed towards the two with his feather swords, ready to slice them down to size. Byrd cracked his knuckles, while Setuh got into a fighting stance. As soon as Corbin got closer to them, he highly jumped into the air, before swooping downwards to crush the two. Setuh and Byrd dodged the attack and countered. Corbeau blocked their upcoming attacks with his feathers, and swiftly pushed them afar.

Byrd stretched his way back to the enemy, and punched him in the carcass. Next, he tried to use a left hook on the head, but was avoided.

Setuh suddenly appeared behind Byrd, who then hopped out of her way.

“Hidden Gem Technique: God’s Hand!”, she screamed as she held out her hands.

Corbin was blown away and was uncontrollably rolling backwards. A few bones in his limbs slightly broke, as he tumbled off. As soon as he stopped by a tree, crimson, dampened lines of ichor fell down his head. He spat out of disgust.

“Okay, you’re just being annoying and irritating!”, he rudely remarked.

“Transform!”, he squawked.

While Corbin’s colours faded into light, Byrd launched himself and lunged at him. Corbin, now in his giant crow mode, kicked the blue man into the air. Setuh, who just passed Byrd, hovered towards him, carrying a few big rocks telekinetically. With a hint of struggle, she threw all rocks at once. Luckily, Corbin drilled through them with little effort, and was about to go through his next target, until his talons were grabbed by Byrd.

Infuriated, Byrd consecutively slammed him down. After each slam, he never felt a small, little bit of hesitation. He kept slamming, and slamming. Eventually, Corbin, who became more damaged, broke out of his hands, and flew to a far distance.

“Crows! Kill them off, now!”, he said as he suddenly crashed into the ground.

The flock heeded his call and took off to tackle the two Observians. Firstly, the murder circled around the two, ensuring no ways of escape for them except for the skies. Next, one by one, each crow darted towards their opponents, only to get knocked out in one hit. However, the more crows which attacked them, the more exhausted the two became.

After a few more attacks, Byrd and Setuh were slightly scarred on their arms with blood dripping down to the floor. It was until then Setuh truly had enough. She put her hands up, pointing at each side of the crowd.

“Take this!”, she yelled.

And as she opened her hands, two powerful waves propelled the crows away.

Meanwhile in an empty, blackened void, there stood a man with crimson skin. He stood and stared into space as he couldn’t see anything at all. Although his heart wasn’t beating, he breathed as slow as a tortoise. His face showed no emotion whatsoever. He tried to look around, but he couldn’t.

“…”
“…”
“What the hell is this place?”, the red man queried.
“Is this heaven? Is this hell? If it’s neither, then where am I? Why can’t I see anything? Am Iblind? Am I dead? Am I alive? What am I doing here? Should I be here? What am I supposed to do? Do I have a purpose to be here?”.
“…”
“Should I even be he-“.
“Yes”, a voice spoke from behind the red man.
“And who was that just now?”.

The bloke turned around. Suddenly, a light. No. Two lights turned on: one displayed the man and the other displayed the voice. The body of the voice, much to the man’s shock, was identical to him.

“Who are you?”, the man with the cube for a head asked.
“I am your sub-conscience.”, answered the lookalike.
“Where are we?”.
“Inside your mind that is now broken and torn.”
“What do you mean by that?”.
“You died.”
“… Ah.”

The red man looked down in disappointment.

Since you have died”, explained the sub-conscience, “I have been created to give two choices.”

The sub-conscience held out his left hand.

“To leave your friends behind, and spend your years in the afterlife.”

Next, he put out his right hand.

“Or to come back to life, under one condition.”
“Tell me. What is the condition?”, questioned the original.
“The condition is… that you and your assumed siblings shall fall further under a problematic curse that was haunting you without acknowledgement. So, what shall it be?”.

The red man thought a lot to himself, whether he should pick either and abandon the alternative.

“Remember. You are the second incarnation of your people. You will not be in this situation ever again. Your path is chosen by you and only you. Once you have decided, you must hold onto my hands and say your answer.”

The man gazed at his feet, his hands and his arms. He glanced at his sub-conscience for a period of time. He closed his eyes and imagined what would happen if he chose either.

5 minutes passed. He opened them, paused for a short moment, and held onto the hands of choice. He was prepared.

“So… your answer is?”.

Back in the brash battlefield, Byrd and Setuh were nearly fresh out of energy. They kept fending off the crows, but struggled to reach for Corbin, who is now in his humanoid form.

"THERE'S TOO MANY OF THEM!", complained Byrd, who knocked a few crows out.
"I can't do anymore force attacks. Can't you just enlarge yourself?", argued Setuh.
"No! It can take 5 minutes for me to grow, but I can't because of these stupid, motherf**king crows!".
"Shit!".

In the end, the two were outnumbered and outmatched, and were beaten on the ground, exhaustingly. The crows stopped flying and stood back, as Corbin trekked his way towards the two. A smile on his face appeared as he stumbled upon them.

"What the hell just happened to you two? You were becoming a challenge more difficult than Dynamo. Now, you've lost most of your focus. You're tired. Just the right time for me to actually kill you.", Corbin sneered.
"What... what d-do you want from us?", asked Setuh.
"Nothing much really. Just your bodies. My boss wouldn't really care if I killed you."
"Who... is he?".
"That's not important. What's actually important is me finally murdering the two of you and taking your ugly corpses back to him."
"No... please... leave us alone..."
"OR WHAT?! WHO'S GONNA SAVE YOU?!".
"..."
"WHO?".
"..."
"TELL ME WHO?!".
"..."
"Exactly".

Terrified and heartbroken, Setuh looked away from him, and burst into sudden tears. Byrd looked at her, and suddenly lost hope.

"Now... if you wouldn't mind, I'll just STAB you!", casually said Corbin.

Corbin then pulled his swords away 10 seconds before the kill. Byrd and Setuh closed their eyes, not being able to fight back as they were worn out. The incarnation of crows slyly licked his reddened, slippery lips. He was about to give these two their last pieces of action and an end to their stories, until…

KABOOM!!

A destructive explosion happened in a lengthened distance away from him. The joy of murder abruptly disappeared, when he looked in the direction where the explosion came from.

“Now what?!”, he scowled in a very annoyed manner.

In a short hole that was a bit torn apart by the explosion, there appeared a mysterious figure. The figure had pure darkness all over except for a few outlines of its face, which were coloured in scarlet. It opened its eyes, revealing their bloodshot and scarlet colours. Their irises were completely pitch black, and the size of an ant.

The eerie being scarily snarled with great power.
