How quickly they, were able to forget the whips, the deprivations, murdering the baby boys. How quickly they were able to put aside the miraculous events they witnessed. Each time their rebellious actions resulted in the death of multitudes, they didn't learn enough to keep them from re-offending against God. How many today, in the 'church', claiming knowledge of the scriptures and what Jesus horrifically died for them(us) continue to willfully sin. Doing so, believing in many cases before the act that they will just ask for forgiveness instead of just not committing the act. Jesus, indeed, forgives. Can we not just think first and not sin? Many of the Israelites didn't think ahead then either.
