my base has 2-block thick obsidian walls with obsidian generators on the other side, covered with stone walls. there is lava everywhere you go except on the path, which i made it almost impossible to access with nether portals. I enter my base with a lever that reveals a room, which is rigged with pufferfish on one block covered in moss so she/he thinks its a trap, but another 18 blocks of wither skeletons so she/he dies, and a trapdoor, which you mine obsidian to get to, and observers, alerting me whenever someone mines through to alert me, so i can kill him/her as soon as possible. after having that done, you are in my base, but the chests are trapped and connected to observers.
