Traveler or The Traveler(both is the same) aka James Podrozny is a human, but he is also a demigod BUT he is also a sub-species called Jumpers.

Jumpers or Teleporters, are normal people but they can "jump", by "jump" i mean teleport.

They are extremely rare and one can be born a jumper in 1/1000,000,000,000 and they are frequently hunted.

Jumpers when they "jump" they leave behind a energy residue, which can be used by other people or jumpers to jump to where the original jumper jumped to.

Traveler on the other hand doesn't leave energy residue, in a matter of fact he learnt to leave no residue. This makes him the most skilled jumper in the universe.

To be noted: Jumpers aren't only humans, but any anthropomorphic species.

But Jumpers have some weak points:
-Jumpers nees to know and have seen the location to jump there
-They can't teleport other people or objects unless they learn to
-If they dont have a clear mind then they can't teleport, electricity disturbs neurones so they can't teleport

Machines can also jump if they use the energy residue of a jumper, so Traveler could give his own energy residue to make a machine, like a ship, jump to somewhere else.

On Earth there are only a couple hundred of jumpers, due to them being so rare and also because they are hunted.

In reproduction wise, two jumpers will give origin to a jumper; a jumper and a human might give origin to a jumper, but if they do the child will be weaker than other jumpers; two humans have a very low chance of giving birth to a jumper.

Yeah, it's the official term for their teleportation method, as you know there are different teleportation methods. Theirs is called a "jump"

Yeah I really like the idea of different kinds of teleportation. I was thinking about making one that can swap places with other people

Welp, time to make a character to give that ability too

There's also magical teleportation which requires energy or magical energy.

But "Jumps" dont require energy or a startup, it's instantaneous and the only thing depleting is their body energy, like they start to get fatigued.
