Boy how thing have changed 60 years ago zombies were conjured up from the dead by Voodoo doctors to do their bidding. Now a days it's a virus or nuclear fallout that empowers them and eating brains or the living quenches their thirst, kind of like blood for vampires.

Don't forget the mutated cordyceps fungi. That's probably the most realistic zombie scenario out there.
